The Department of Music Studies and the Department of Theatre Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with the Departments of Physical Education and Sport Science, Primary Education and Educational Studies, are delighted to invite artists, researchers, educators, practitioners of Arts Education to participate in the 2024 WAAE SUMMIT on “ARTS, NATURE, TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION: HARMONY IN UNITY”.
The conference will delve into the dynamic relationship between the arts, nature, technology, and education, exploring their synergies through innovative research and practice, aiming to transform and re-orient the educational experience.

Young writers enrolled in senior high school (generally, ages 14-19) with disabilities are invited to submit a ten-minute script of any genre for the opportunity to participate in a playwrights program. Entries may be the work of an individual student or a collaboration between two student (at least one student with a disability). A panel of theater professionals selects winners.

Share your stories of Creative Resilience! The Teaching Artists Guild is taking submissions for stories of creative resilience in teaching artistry. TAG is sharing stories of teaching artists across the country who have embraced creative resiliency in different ways. If you have a story, photo, or want to highlight another teaching artist in your community, check out this opportunity.

Through grants and peer learning opportunities, ArtsHERE invests in organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to equity within their practices and programming, with the goal of increasing arts participation for underserved groups/communities, and sharing insights that may inform similar funding programs in the future.

Schools are invited to participate in the 7th Arts Olympiad of the International Child Art Foundation. The Arts Olympiad introduces students ages 8-12 to the “Artist-Athlete Ideal” of the creativity mind and healthy body. This revised self-image solidifies when students depict themselves as “artist-athletes” in their artwork on the theme “My Favorite Sport.”

Creative Baggage was founded in May 2020 by Serena Huang and Bailey Spiteri as a podcast giving voice to the struggles of pursuing a career in the arts. Having graduated into the pandemic with degrees in music performance, the pair published a variety of conversations exploring what it means to be a creative in this day and age, featuring their peers and prominent figures in the industry. In September of 2021, the CB team was invited to host a live podcast event at the University of Maryland's NextNOW Fest, where they facilitated and recorded discussions surrounding creativity with students of all backgrounds.

We are seeking proposals for in-person sessions for the 2024 ABLE Assembly Conference in two formats: a. Research/Practice/Advocacy Presentations - 20 minutes in length, b. Workshops - 45 minutes in length
