YoungArts invites applications for its 2023 National Arts Competition. Accomplished artists between the ages of 15 and 18 (or in grades 10 through 12) are encouraged to apply for an award of up to $10,000. Recipients are eligible for creative and professional development support throughout their careers. Students must demonstrate excellence in classical music, dance, design arts, film, jazz, photography, theater, visual arts, voice, or writing. Deadline: October 14, 2022.

Sphinx is searching for the next cohort of U.S.-based leaders to take part in its two-year LEAD (Leaders in Excellence, Arts, & Diversity) program, an annual executive leadership training program for Black and Latinx arts professionals. Participants will attend a series of eight leadership retreats hosted by major cultural institutions in the U.S. and will also receive $5,000 USD toward their own professional development activities. Program activities will take place both online and in person over the course of the two-year program. Travel and housing costs during the retreats are covered. Musicians ages 19–35 from 50 eligible countries can apply online through September 2, 2022 for an eight-week residency in the U.S., to take place in the spring or fall of 2023.
