2024 VSA Playwright Discovery Program

Young writers enrolled in senior high school (generally, ages 14-19) with disabilities are invited to submit a ten-minute script of any genre for the opportunity to participate in a playwrights program. Entries may be the work of an individual student or a collaboration between two student (at least one student with a disability). A panel of theater professionals selects winners.

Call for Submissions: YoungArts National Arts Competition Application

YoungArts invites applications for its 2023 National Arts Competition. Accomplished artists between the ages of 15 and 18 (or in grades 10 through 12) are encouraged to apply for an award of up to $10,000. Recipients are eligible for creative and professional development support throughout their careers. Students must demonstrate excellence in classical music, dance, design arts, film, jazz, photography, theater, visual arts, voice, or writing. Deadline: October 14, 2022.
