Calling all U.S.-based visual artists ages 16-25 with disabilities*! Applications are now open for the 2023-2024 VSA Emerging Young Artist Program.
Fifteen winning artists will each receive a $5,000 award, have one of their submitted pieces travel in a year-long national exhibition, and engage in an all-expenses-paid professional development workshop at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. February 26-29, 2024.
This year they're asking artists to consider the theme: "Interchange." Explore the connection of different ideas and pathways to each other. How does your art interact with your disability identity and the world? How are you initiating dialogue with others?
