Call for submissions: UNESCO MONDIACULT 2022

Artists, cultural professionals, arts organizations, networks, academia and all who care about the future of arts and culture are invited to share their contributions to a global cultural policy dialogue and share their reflections as part of the preparations for UNESCO’s World Conference on Cultural Policies – MONDIACULT 2022.

The platform, titled Share Your Voice - Virtual Global Open Mic, is designed for creatives to share and listen to the ideas and concerns of the world’s international community.

Discussions at MONDIACULT 2022 will be focused on:

  • The role of governments in supporting resilience.

  • Inclusion and sustainability in arts and culture.

  • The role of culture in achieving the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, promotion and protection of cultural heritage and strengthening the creative economy (training, working conditions and artistic freedom).

Note: Read some of the topics under discussion here at MONDIACULT 2022.

Cultural workers, youth and the public at large are invited to contribute to this global policy dialogue on arts, creativity, culture and heritage by sharing their responses to the following questions:

  • What is the one issue of most urgent concern for you regarding the sustainability and resilience of the arts, culture, heritage and creativity?

  • What is one action policymakers should take to effect positive change in this area of concern?

  • What are possible solutions that already address this concern?

We’d especially like to hear from you about this! How have you seen the arts and culture impact your communities? How do arts and culture facilitate youth leadership to social change within educational contexts? How do they enhance community understanding? If you’d like to contribute to our response, you can email publications@creative-generation.org with your story or — if you’d like a little more guidance — you can answer our short survey at this link.
