The Progressive Arts Education Coalition (PAEC, pronounced ‘pace’) works with change-makers throughout the nation who believe in the power of the arts to improve society, to promote access to arts education in- and out-of-school, and to strengthen and maintain creative career paths. This event will provide historical context for PAEC’s efforts and invite arts practitioner-leaders to join in envisioning an equitable arts and culture sector with an abiding commitment to arts education at its center and lay the groundwork for the Coalition’s future efforts to advance this vision.  Consistent with PAEC’s values of transparency and accountability to the field, a final report and digital archive of the event will be produced.
