Call for participants for the 2023-2024 Young and Emerging Leaders Forum
This yearlong program builds a peer-to-peer network of young and emerging teaching artists within the fields of culture, education, and social change. Jointly hosted by Creative Generation and the International Teaching Artist Collaborative (ITAC), the Young & Emerging Leaders Forum - or YELF - builds from a pilot program launched in 2020. In its design, the program will recognize young teaching artists from across the fields and be responsive to the needs of the cohort fostering a collaborative learning environment based in critical reflection intended to interrogate, mutually share and learn, and radically reimagine future possibilities of one’s work.
The 2023-2024 YELF program will provide:
Recognition: Providing recognition to those leading innovative work and amplify their contributions to the field; and
Reflection: Holding space for critical reflection, intended to interrogate knowledge and ways of knowing;
Resources: Learning through experiential and published resources to broaden perspectives and interconnect ideas.
Who should apply?
We are seeking young and emerging teaching artists from all communities around the globe who wish to connect with, collaborate and share ideas with other teaching artists to further their personal and professional networks, collaborations, and development.
