International Arts Education Week is May 23-29, 2022. This international celebration is designated by the United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
This year, the World Alliance for Arts Education has selected the theme: Arts Education for Peace.
The organization is currently collecting the voices of arts educators to unify their global impact during the celebrations. There are three opportunities to participate:
On Monday May 23rd at noon local time, WAAE encourages you, your colleagues, and/or your students to Ring the Bells for Arts Education. Ring bells or sound other instruments to signal your support for Arts & Cultural Education. You can share photos and videos on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn with the hashtags #BellsForArtsEd #ArtsEdWeek #WAAE #IDEA #INSEA #ISME #WDA #BuildingCreativeFutures.
Check out the scheduled webinars each day from May 23-27, many of which are still to be announced.
You can also share your ideas and work with others by submitting a presentation for live or asynchronous sessions on May 26th + 27th — but hurry! May 18th is the last day to submit!
