Register for ITAC's April Think Tank, Hosted by ITAC Innovator Heather Marshall (Scotland)

Join ITAC for this month's Think Tank with 2022-2023 ITAC Innovator Heather Marshall (Scotland) on Tuesday, April 25 at 3:00pm UK time (10:00am New York time).

Heather invites disabled and neurodiverse teaching artists to come together to explore their needs in relation to their teaching artist practices.

We know that, as teaching artists, we need to ensure our sessions are accessible and safe for our participants. But, often, we overlook what we need from organizations and ourselves to work to the best of our abilities.

This Think Tank will support artists in helping them identify barriers within their professional communities and provide the time and space for us to collectively explore the differences in disability culture globally.

Heather will also introduce participants to the process of creating an access statement, how and when to use it, as well as how organizations should receive their access statements.

Please note that while non-disabled and neurotypical teaching artists are welcome to attend this session, disabled and neurodivergent voices will be prioritized.

The working language of this Think Tank is English and captioning will be available. If you have any additional access requirements, please let us know (info@itac-collaborative.com).
