Register for ITAC's June Think Tank, Hosted by ITAC Innovator Nicole Swanson (USA)

Join us for this month's Think Tank with 2022-2023 ITAC Innovator Nicole Swanson (USA) on Wednesday, June 28 at 11:00am CDT (12:00pm EDT, 5:00pm BST). The Think Tank will be introduced by the United States ITAC Hub's Jean E. Taylor and Robert Torigoe from Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Nicole Swanson will lead a session focused on Teaching Artistry in the Business World

Creativity. Giving and receiving feedback. Collaboration. Intention.

As Teaching Artists, we cultivate these (and other) skills and foster them within our schools and community organizations. But these messages have much broader relevance. These skills are essential for business leaders, and executive teams are eager for new approaches to management training. Teaching Artists have a unique opportunity to provide a solution.

Join Nicole in exploring the possibilities! In a 90-minute session, participants will discuss adapting presentations already in your repertoire, developing new content, and how to market yourself to business audiences. You’ll have opportunities for small group scenario workshops and individual feedback, and you’ll finish the session with clearly defined action steps. For those who work best in teams, there will be an opportunity to form accountability partners or groups to help turn your intentions into reality.

The Working Group:
The “Teaching Artistry in the Business World” working group will be responsible for creating a how-to guide for Teaching Artists looking to expand their work into business settings. We will create, deploy, and analyze surveys of teaching artists and business leaders; test prototype sessions and assess feedback; and delineate best practices moving forward. Working group participants will self-select specific tasks, and individual workloads will vary.
