Join the International Teaching Artist Collaborative on Thursday, July 28 at 12:00pm New York time (5:00pm UK time) for this month's Think Tank.
ITAC is launching its first online course: Teaching Artistry for Social Impact. This pioneering edge of our global field now becomes an area for professional development, for free. Join this Think Tank to look under the hood with its authors, to find out what’s in it, how they chose to make it teaching-artist-friendly, its distinctive features, and how and why we partner with Kadenze (the world's largest arts learning platform). This course sprang from the case studies of the ITAC IMPACT: Climate initiative but is applicable to social impact projects in other areas like health and wellness, social justice, and democracy-building.
This Think Tank is not just a presentation; the authors will invite you to contribute to its completion and maybe join as a Coach. They will spark thinking about how to use this new opportunity to build our field—we hope to expand our field and build connections with partners in social change organizations. And finally, together we will think about the potential of online learning to expand the field of teaching artistry—what are the potentials and pitfalls? Eric Booth and Gowri Savoor have spent a year deep within the challenges of creating this course, and are excited to invite you inside, and together, think forward.
