On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, during the first weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, Creative Generation deployed a fast response survey to gather data about the rapidly changing funding needs of arts & cultural education organizations, investigating the potential responses which could mitigate the impacts of impending challenges. Read more about this survey and its findings here.
In the following months from March - October, Creative Generation and its collaborators embarked on several continued investigations, which sought to understand the multitude of pandemics impacting arts & cultural education and the response of individuals, programs, and communities to these circumstances. Read a summary of these several projects here.
After two years, we intend to revisit these needs and examine if and how they have changed.
If you work for an arts education organization or fund such organizations please consider sharing your experiences over the past two years and responding to this new survey.
The survey includes questions both about the perspectives of programs and funders’ capacities to fund Creative Youth Development programs. With the collected data, Creative Generation will provide an updated snapshot of the alignments between funding opportunities and the needs of practitioners in the field.
