Creative Generation Collaborates with Arts Schools Network on their Annual Conference

Arts Schools Network (ASN) and Creative Generation are pleased to announce their continued collaboration on their annual ASN conference being hosted in Chicago, Illinois, USA from October 25-29, 2021.

Previously, ASN and Creative Generation have collaborated on the production of the 2020 annual conference and numerous other professional development events. This continued collaboration stems from both organizations’ commitment to ongoing professional learning for arts school leaders and the need for rapid innovation in addressing the changing professional circumstances for these leaders.

“We know that timely and relevant professional development is necessary to support arts school leaders in their work in communities,” said Jeff M. Poulin, managing director of Creative Generation. “We, at Creative Generation, are thrilled to continue to collaborate with ASN to produce high-quality professional learning experiences for their members across the country and around the world.”

Creative Generation was founded in April 2019 as a research initiative and has grown its work throughout the United States and around the world. Through pioneering research in the arts and cultural education field – and the relentless support of arts and cultural educators in their work to cultivate the creative capabilities of young people – the organization regularly leads professional learning initiatives through its Academy for Creative Leadership.

“Arts Schools Network could not be more excited to again engage and collaborate with Creative Generation on the 2021 annual conference this year,” said Dr. R. Scott Allen, managing director of ASN. “The Creative Generation team truly understands the importance of the arts and supporting the educators who are on the front lines, especially with the challenges of the current pandemic and being in the work to advance racial equity and social justice. This year’s conference focuses on charting the unknown and paving the way for arts education and is important because the arts lead by setting new standards in a time of uncertainty and unrest.”

The ASN conferences annually brings together the innovative, informative, and inquisitive arts school leaders to network, share, learn, and recognize excellence among their peers.
