Cousins in the Classroom is a youth-focused music education program designed to show students the power of creativity they have within themselves when they work together.
Earlier this year, Distant Cousins, a band of three seasoned musicians based in LA, collaborated with students from Pressman Academy and Islah Academy to produce a new song, “Pangea." Their process and work has been amplified to new heights when they were invited to headline Interfaith Night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last month.
Check out their new mini-documentary about the project below, watch the video about its creation, and listen to the song here.
Cousins in the Classroom is a project within the Gen C Incubator. More information about collaborating with the program can be found here.
