Young & Emerging Leaders Forum

We invite out-of-school time, primary and secondary school arts educators, higher education professionals, arts education researchers and policymakers, national, state and local education officials from around the world to join us Online for a synchronous event on Monday, October 11, 2021.
This Forum will provide a space for young scholars, emerging leaders, and new colleagues to the field of arts education to share work and develop a community of learning for expanding the pipeline of leaders in the global field of arts and cultural education. This event is held in tandem with the Virtual World Summit: “Arts Impact: Context Matters.”

Event Logistics
Who Should Attend?
Young and emerging scholars, practitioners, and leaders, who are under the age of 35 or within the first five years of their career in the field of arts and cultural education.
What Will Be Discussed?
Expanding on topics shared at the 2020 Forum, presenters are encouraged to continue the discourse on expanding definitions and pipelines to leadership, specifically interrogating the processes of unlearning, bridging sectors, navigating systems, and holding tensions.
Proposals are due July 19, 2021.
