This year's conference will be held on April 9–10, 2022 in a remote or hybrid format.
Building on the tremendous success of the remote 2020 and 2021 ABLE Assembly conferences, we are seeking proposals for 20-minute, pre-recorded breakout sessions for the 2022 ABLE Assembly conference.
Timeline
Deadline for Proposals: December 15, 2021
Notification of Proposal Acceptance: December 30, 2021
Deadline to Submit Presenter Agreement: January 15, 2022
We are aiming to offer a flexible hybrid event, available both in person and fully accessible as an online conference experience. In the event that we are unable to be in person due to safety concerns surrounding COVID-19, the event will take place as a fully remote conference.
By offering remote accessibility, we have the opportunity to create online learning modules that support learning at any time, as well as synchronous discussions. Breakout presentations will be pre-recorded, and speakers will be invited to focused discussion sessions to build from the online learning modules they have crafted. Each learning module will include the recorded presentations, supporting materials, and a written component (a summary of the presentation and/or a longer paper). The combination of asynchronous remote learning modules and synchronous discussions provides conference attendees with a robust professional development experience, allowing them to engage when and how they learn best.
Furthermore, we stand deeply committed to providing a fully accessible conference experience. This includes comprehensive captioning of all presentations, which requires that presenters provide a script for their presentations.
Note that conference presenters will receive complimentary admission to the event.
