On October 10, the Red Campaign and The Global Fund asked governments, world leaders, activists and the private sector to unite and fully fund the AIDS fight. This action would ensure the funding to save 16 million lives and get the world back on track to end AIDS, TB, and malaria.
The campaign employed the world’s top street artists in cities around the globe to build awareness around the AIDS fight ahead of The Global Fund Replenishment Conference in October. During the three weeks leading up to the conference, more than 25 unique PAINT (RED) murals and installations were revealed as part of a coordinated campaign across Washington DC, New York, Berlin, London, Paris, Jersey City, Accra, Malmo, Cape Town, New Delhi, Horsens, Nariobi, Manila, Lima, Ho Chi Minh City, Dakar, Oslo, and Lyon. Alongside the murals, (RED) unveiledg interactive digital artwork and many other ways to join the fight to end AIDS with PAINT (RED) SAVE LIVES.
